Sierra Street Improvements project was funded by Surface Transportation Program (STPL) and was constructed congruent with the 6th Avenue Drive Rehabilitation project, also funded by STPL. Improvements included demolition and reconstruction of concrete curb ramps, placing hot mix asphalt concrete pavement, grinding-in-place of existing asphalt concrete pavement, earthwork and grading, installing pavement markings, removal and replacement of miscellaneous sidewalk and curb and gutter, construction of ADA ramps, and replacement of loop detectors.
