State Route 198 & Akers Interchange Improvements – Peters Engineering Group

Peters Engineering Group served as a subconsultant to TRC to prepare Traffic Analyses, Traffic Signal and Lighting Design, Pavement Delineation, Signage, complicated Stage Construction and Traffic Handling plans, Detours, and a Traffic Management Plan. The project objective was to widen Akers Street between Cypress Avenue and Hillsdale Avenue, including freeway ramp modifications. Peters Engineering Group also provided coordination between all involved parties including Caltrans, City of Visalia, and TRC Companies. Project successfully completed widening of Akers Street at the SR 198 interchange, traffic signal modifications, and adding one lane to the eastbound on ramp. Construction was completed in January 2021.
