The City of Tulare retained Peters Engineering Group to prepare plans, specifications, and an estimate for upgrades to infrastructure to Cherry Avenue, Lyndale Street, and Bash Alley. The project included traffic signal improvements for the intersection of Tulare Avenue (SR 137) and Cherry Street, as well as the intersection of Cross Avenue and Cherry Street. Design and construction administration services were performed for the reconstruction of curb ramps, relocation of pedestrian push buttons to comply with ADA standards, and replacement of existing traffic signal loop detectors due to new pavement improvements. Peters Engineering Group coordinated with the City of Tulare and Caltrans to obtain an encroachment permit for work on State facilities, and prepared traffic handling and detour plans in accordance with Caltrans Standard Plans and Specifications. The project was designed in 2017 constructed in 2018/2019.
